Mazda 3 named Best Small Car in Canada for 2023

The Mazda3 has once again taken the prize for Best Small Car in Canada in the 2023 Canadian Car of the Year awards. This is the third time in the past four years that the Mazda3 has been chosen as a category winner by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). The award was announced on January 19th at the Montreal International Auto Show.
Winning the award puts the Mazda3 in the running for the overall 2023 Canadian Car of the Year award, which will be announced at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto on February 16th.

The 2023 Mazda3 features Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture, which provides natural responses to every input, resulting in a safe, stylish, and comfortable driving experience. AJAC journalists have praised the Mazda3's premium experience and first-class driving dynamics in previous years, resulting in back-to-back category and overall Canadian Car of the Year awards in 2020 and 2021.
The Mazda3 offers consumers a range of options, including sedan or hatchback models, and comes in a variety of trims and styles to cater to a diverse range of preferences. It offers Skyactiv-G 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, as well as Mazda's 2.5L Turbo, with a choice of manual or automatic transmission on select models.
The Mazda3 sedan and hatchback also offer Mazda's i-Activ all-wheel drive system, making it the only finalist in the Small Car category to provide all-wheel drive. The alternative Skyactiv-G 2.5L Turbo engine delivers up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.
In addition to being recognized as the Best Small Car in Canada for 2023, the Mazda3 was also named a finalist in two other categories: Small Utility Vehicle, with the CX-30, and Sports Performance Car, with the MX-5.
